Gareth Root is a writer, actor, and amateur astronomer currently based in Los Angeles. His sci-fi feature SUPERPOSITION was top ten in Final Draft’s Big Break, and his produced feature NO STORYBOOK LOVE was a JellyFEST semifinalist at the American Film Institute, LA. When writing, Gareth loves to craft philosophical sci-fi and epic, genre-bending adventures. As the child of two school teachers, he frequently writes about characters who are obsessed with the pursuit of knowledge - knowledge of love, of death, of purpose. Heavy stuff. But sometimes he lets himself write a little rom-com. You know, as a treat.

Gareth’s long-term goals include becoming the first Astronaut/Ninja/Movie Star, but for now, he'll settle for writing one into a script.
